How to Rip Pictures From a Flash Drive Onto a Mac
Flash drives, also known as thumb drives or USB drives, connect to computers using the USB port. These self-powered storage devices use flash memory rather than a traditional moving hard disk, and are small in size, making them convenient for transferring data between computers. USB ports can be found in PC and Mac computers. You can store picture files on a flash drive and rip, or copy them onto a Mac computer.
Plug the flash drive into the USB port of your Mac. An icon will appear on the desktop of the computer.
Double-click the flash drive icon to show the contents of the drive.
Select the pictures you want to rip to the Mac. Do this by clicking on an individual image, by clicking on multiple images while holding the "Shift" key or by clicking and dragging your cursor over the images you want to select.
Click and drag the selected images to a location on your computer, such as the desktop or the Pictures folder, which is located inside your "Home" folder. A status window will open while the pictures rip to the Mac.
